Cirque du Soleil (French for “Circus of the Sun,” in English pronounced /sɪrk duː soʊˈleɪ/) (or Serk-doo-Solay), is a Canadian entertainment company, self-described as a “dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment.” Based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and located in the inner-city area of Saint-Michel, it was founded in Baie-Saint-Paul in 1984 by two former street performers, Guy Laliberté and Daniel Gauthier. The company is the winner of the 1991 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Initially named Les Échassiers, they toured Quebec in 1980 as a performing troupe and encountered financial hardship that was relieved by a government grant in 1983 as part of the 450th anniversary celebrations of Jacques Cartier’s discovery of Canada.Le Grand Tour du Cirque du Soleil was a success in 1984, and after securing a second year of funding, Laliberté hired Guy Caron from the National Circus School to re-create it as a “proper circus”. @TheXalvadora One thing is better than native american blood or any blood, that is how we think and who we become. There is the “red road”, but lessons can be learned from bushmen and others too. Keep learning from the teachers like Saginaw.
One day they are minding ther own business,and the next day they are fighting for their lives. I only seen a real indian one time in my life,but I was a child then. I would be angry that my whole culture and people was taken,but I do know how it feels.
The Natives are spiritual…there will be a time that comes that all those in their culture and others who are on the same level of spirituality with them that they will rise above the wicked and the ignorant in this nation. Things will be reversed in the near future.

That comment below saying “it’s sad what those white people done to them, good thing i’m not white” is generalizing and is very misinformed. First of all, not ALL whites did anything negative to Indians. I am white but my ancestors immigrated to this country many years after the last of the Indian wars. So neither my ancestors nor I had anything to do with the mistreatment of Indians. Like many others.
God, the natives are such good people, it’s sad what those white people done to them, good thing i’m not white.
The native americans are so wise. I wish I knew if I had native american blood in me. I feel so bad about back then when we stole their land. It makes me wish I could change history…

Hey, I just think it’s so neat when you see mixtures. You know the sad thing is that when you hear people like Chuck Norris is mixed then he’s know asjust White but Redd Foxx was still just black. I just think that identity is so very important. It’s really hard for some people to be known for what they are fully.
True indeed my friend. My family and MOST First Nations families have a long history of intermarriage with black folks. Many escaped slaves sought refuge and forged new lives on our reserves. My father explained it this way “Our people couldn’t drink at the white fountain, buy liquor, eat in white restaurants or dance in the white clubs, Etc. In a lot of ways we were in the same boat as our darker brothers and sisters, it’s only natural that bonded with them”
Hey, look at the guy speaking and then I want you to go look at a picture of Redd Foxx. I swear that they look alot alike. Well maybe not a lot but you can tell if you look at the two side by side. I think that’s neat because a lot of times when people say they have a certain heritage that isn’t considered their main herritage than you don’t always see it.
Maybe if I told people I’m 1/16th Shoginosh (white) I’d get some respect, eh? LMAO!
