@CmdrTobs You obviously are reading the back and forth through ideologically biased eyes. Why can’t you just admit that you were being pedantic and that obviously in context of what a reasonable person would assume I was implying, my comment about having an absolute right to not be killed was referring to being killed while innocent? You tried to show how killing is sometimes OK and therefore my comment was wrong, but it turns out you were simply nitpicking on semantics and ignoring implication.
@AminCad I read your back and forth with DarkAngel0125 and you ballsed up when you got too cocky and careless with your words. That’s ok, to err is to be human. The fact you couldn’t admit that and quickly move on tells me one important thing:

@CmdrTobs You’re making another invalid argument. My original comment about ‘absolute’ rights was a response to the other commenter claiming rights cannot be absolute, so it was directly relevant to the discussion. I was making a point that REAL rights have to be absolute and cannot conflict with each other, for any morality to be consistent and coherent. This means you can’t have a right to use patronize someone else’s restaurant if they don’t want you there, as that would violate their rights.

A reasonable person would take it for granted that I was referring to cases of killing where there is no legitimate cause, and ONLY in this circumstance was I claiming that it is an absolute violation of someone’s rights. You’re just continuing on your pedantry, because you’re not interested in debating in good will.

That you ignore this and convince yourself that I was referring to being killed in any conceivable circumstance shows you’re not debating honesty or in good faith. You’re just trying to score points.

The Euro is collapsing, primarily due to the fact that interest rates that may favour, say, Germany, can significantly harm portugals ability to escape recession. @JerezJulio He wants to eliminate public education? No, he wants to eliminate the department of Education. There is a direct link between the instantiation of the Department of Education and the decline of the United States in the international league tables for maths, science, and yes, even English. Rand Paul does not support a national minimal wage because guess what? Prices in Georgia might be significantly different than those in Washington or Maine..
