Can you answer Marla Merchut’s question?:
I have an internship with a non-profit dealing with history and social action. It is located in MA. Where can I apply for funding and grants to help pay for living expenses and a livelihood for the summer?

Dartmouth encourages you to spend one or more of your Leave Terms doing work which will enhance your personal and academic goals. Grant ceilings vary but may be up to $2500 for international placements/projects and $2000 for domestic. Students on Dartmouth financial aid may be eligible for additional funding based on current need. If your proposal is accepted by more than one department or program, you will be required to choose only one grant..
Every student’s financial situation is unique. We encourage all financial aid recipients considering an internship to talk with the program coordinators and his/her financial aid officer. Your financial aid officer can help you to explore alternative ways of covering your leave term earnings expectation. We’ll explore every possibility to help make your plan a reality.
Vertical Search Engines in the grant niche are the best place to find funding opportunities. Why? Because they are niche specific they offer far more up to the minute information than the general search engines. You can also fill in your profile and that will help laser taget your search. Added to this they will turn up more opportunities in more Institutions and more jurisdictions than you will be able to find in general search mode.
I discuss the usage of Vertical search in the Grant funding niche extensively on my website.
