I found the easiest way to get a grant is to go to http://www.fafsa.com. It is a government site that will ask you for tax information. This will tell you what you are eligible to receive. Also, http://www.studentaid.ed.gov can help you. Hope this helps.

I’m a 19 year old college student that gets aid cause my fam doesnt make much – I can tell you that you’re not going to get much FREE MONEY, if any. The government might throw you a thousand bucks, but the rest is goign to be low-interest loans and private loans. Your school will adjust your tuition if you apply for aid aswell, unless its public school in which case they cant do much. Student loans are very easy to get, and if you have a steady job i would recomment getting one to cover your balance and pay interest so it does not capitalize. as for “grant hunting,” good luck.

Start by selecting a community college that you want to attend. Then you fill out the FAFSA. Contact the financial aid office and ask.

    good luck!

colleges.mywebcommunity.org – it provides some tips about applying to US federal and state grants for college students.
