The socalled conservation groups like the cca have made stopping the commercial fishing into a big money making business with the donations from the public that does not know what is really going on and from government grants for their bad data on the fish.We the commercial fishermen are NOT the bad guys we are made out to be. Do not believe all their lies about the commercial fishermen ,it makes me sick to hear what I hear about the fishermen it is really crazy so far from the truth. MY GRANDPA ARNESEN WAS BORN IN TAMPA BAY,FLORIDA IN 1916 AND LAST TIME HE WENT FISHING WITH US WAS AT 90 YEARS OLD HE’S 92 NOW AND HE HAS SEEN IT ALL. THE CHANGE AND DAMAGE FROM THE LAND DEVELOPMENT IN FLORIDA . THEY AS IN THE GOVERNMENT HAS LIMIT THE WAYS TO FISH AND THE AMOUNT AND SPECIES OF FISH SO MUCH THAT IT HAS MADE IT HARDER TO BE A COMMERCIAL FISHERMAN FOR NO REASON .READ MY CHANNEL INFO

This is perfect for my family and what the Govt is doing here in Australia to the real fisherman, all that will be left here is the desk fisherman (investors) We will not survive the Govt’s great management plan because we have “underfished” and been conservative which is what our heritage has taught us. I’m a proud 4th generation of fishing and my wife a 5th and through no fault of our own we will be removed from fishing! We loved this and would really like to know where you found that song.

great video, describes the way i feel. I don’t see any hope for a commercial fishermen in North Carolina. The sport fishermen wont be happy until they have run us out of the sounds. I live on the same island that my family has for hundreds of years and i am homesick.

allen3200: I had watched that video earlier, but lost it, then found it again. The message is clear. Fishing is a both a way of life and a profession, as is farming, through which people contribute to society and achieve individual freedom. This is what this country is all about, and it must stay that way. Not all of us can end up in an office cubicle!
Im a grown man but this video makes me want to cry. Perfect song, lots of respect to your family. I hope my daughter will be able to experience what we get to see on the water.
