  2. strikenetter on August 13th, 2010 11:23 pm

Cool vid !! The cobia was a treat i bet ! Too bad sharks are endangered, 1,000 lb of cut meat would have been a great additive ! Oh yeah, us commercial guys only fin em ! and to tdfsu1, many other methods of comm. fishing are sustainable, not just hook and line, which im unable to use here in NC ! I have to abide by rec. harvest limits ! WHO’S NOT USING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES , NMFS MAYBE ?

I hope you sports are never allowed to fish one day only us Real fishermen Please do not be so greedy what a sad thing you sport fishermen has become Very greedy and will lie about every thing to stop the commercial fishing and never talk about the real issues like pollution that is going on soon the fish will not be safe for anyone to eat if something is not done about the real madness

  12. TheMackerelMan on August 14th, 2010 4:32 am

  21. fishermandudejake on August 14th, 2010 9:08 am

  22. tdfsu1 on August 14th, 2010 9:34 am

I am an ardent recreational angler on the gulf coast of Florida and have two main comments. 1, I appreciate the fact that you guys are employing hook and line tackle in your efforts. Absolutely NOTHING wrong with that method of fishing and if everyone used it, our fisheries would be sustainable. 2, unless the recreational and commercial sectors join forces, NONE of us will be fishing soon because the environmentals and thier cronnies at NMFS are hell bent on keeping ALL of us on the dock!

  23. pdbhaq1 on August 14th, 2010 10:02 am

That delta in Louisiana is waterman’s paradise. I was there fishing and crabbing in 1981 and nobody else was fsihing and crabbing. Fortunes could have been made, but my father had to go back home./
