LEARN THE TRUTH THAT ALL OF THE DATA ON ALL THE FISH IS CORRUPTED OR OUT DATED. The socalled conservation groups like the cca have made stopping the commercial fishing into a big money making business with the donations from the public who know nothing about what is really going on and from government grants for their bad data on the fish. Do not believe all their lies about the fish or the commercial fishermen. It is 2 against 1 of the lobbyists on the NMF that’s not fare in our interests and I feel the commercial lobbyists is also corrupted. The Government has refused visa for American singer Akon who had denigrated the Buddha Dhamma and the Buddhist culture. The Sri Lankan Government decided not to grant visa to the pop singer who was the issue to the clash opposite the Sirasa head office at Braybrooke Place in Colombo. It was the Maharajah Group of Companies including Sirasa which had arranged his Sri Lankan tour. Akon is a person who had been imprisoned for five years on two occasions on charges of possessing weapons and drugs and for child abuse. He had also released an album with visuals insulting the Buddha Dhamma. The singer whose video clip for one of his songs shows a statue of Lord Buddha in the backdrop of a wild party which features scantily dressed women triggered a lot of disappointment among Buddhists all over the world. On hearing about his visit to Sri Lanka, the patriots took the lead in protesting against it. Accordingly, the patriotic people organized a protest campaign opposite the Sirasa head office recently. However, the agitators said that the Sirasa staff did not permit them to stage the protest. They claimed that the staff members pelted stones at them when they were about to stage their demonstration. As a result, they had to respond to the attack for their safety. Staff members of the media organization have confirmed that they had to attack and disperse the agitators. For sure we even caught one of the so called endangered Jewfish in Louisiana I wonder if they even know we have them here at all and the CCA is in full control of the FWC Do not support the cca they are the hold problem soon only the rich will be fishing
i am a kayak fishermen not a commercial fisherman. but this even affects me. in florida the goliath grouper(jewfish) population has soared so much, that they are nusances and the cops keep arresting people for poaching. because they accidently catch them. and what does FWC do in response to this? they make the goliath regulations even more strict!it pisses me off!
That is the real quetion WHY Just think of all the money they make off of just one fishing tournament The commercial fishermen are an eyesore to the rich and they have the power to do what they want as we can see
Is there a shortage of Fish on the Market & I still don’t understand the motives of groups like the CCA to maliciously injure commercial fishing. What for???

This also happens in fresh water lakes as well. I know because i was a fresh water commercial fisherman & the same thing happens there too. All in the name of Sportmans groups. The best of luck to you salt water fishermen.

@horaaliya I am also a buddhist, but buddhism is not a religion and never was, it is only a way of life, which i think is ok. Since its just telling us how to be practical and nothing more. I do not agree however with what happend to Akon, this incident made the country look bad.
