I am trying to find government or private grants for 1st time home buyers who are on disability and a single mom

    No. Your disability income plus the child support received for your children will have to be sufficient for the size mortgage you want. Try HUD homes. If you can get one, Habitat for Humanity might be able to help you fix it up, although the waiting lists are years long.

    But nobody is going to give you a grant to buy a house.

    It is illegal to discriminate based on your gender or marital status.

    There are no grants to buy private property for anyone.

    You can check hud.gov for loans you may qualify for or section 8 housing (which is a rental, not for your profit).
