Can you answer InSuspense’s question?:
A colleague is looking for information about grants to help start a program where she can help disabled adults integrate back into mainstream society. Anyone know where I could find such information? Thanks!

i am guessing your talking about a not for profit you can get a couple of multitude of grants and other funding from different source and it would not hurt to take a grant writing course. depending on were you live at you can find a whole lot of support even do a fundraiser get support from family and friends of people with disabilities.
(Edit)
you can check out your local library and local affiliates of the NEA national endowment of the arts like a cultural center. You can also work with the local universities to learn more about how to get support. Another suggestion look into the history of some local agencies for people with disabilities, what they are doing right now and work with them as they go further into their future, it can give you a lot of inspiration and teach you a lot as well. You can also look on your counties or city website for information on grants and other organizations that can help you.
There are hundreds of such grants. I suggest the easiest means to do this is to actually hire a grant consultant who is in the profession of finding and writing grants. They can be hired to simply find a grant that meets a particular set of parameters – or they can be hired to write the grant itself.
If the person is asking this question, they are not familiar with the hundreds of resources that exist to help a nonprofit organization get grants.
Here are just a few:

A good library. Ask about the Federal Register and Grants. You may be surprised how much there is out there.
