Bombshell For Gillard Explodes Under Murdoch Press : – twitpic.com SMH (Hard Copy) 30/08/2011 How to incriminate yourself in one easy interview a lesson from 2UE Sydney’s Mike Smith : www.2ue.com.au OR KEATING’S RECALCITRANT MOMENT MINUS ANY STUBBORN MALAYSIANS. A Lesson For Gillard On How To Spill Blood In The Labour Party. Here is a gem from Big Don’s private collection, the viewer will see a very tired & haggard Deputy PM Julia Gillard on the eve of that great albatross, the leadership of The ALP along with the title of Prime Minister which unbeknownst to her at the time would result in the most unpopular & pathetic leader this country has ever had & is ever likely to have. Riddled with typical ALP narcissistic nepotism of the twenty first century, which in recent weeks has taken on the dreadful & deadly disease of British politics, that of sleaze ! Although this “arse end of the world” as Paul Keating once described his country, is a long way from emulating sleazy British Tory & Labour politicians nether the less Australia is a nation not used to sex mixed with her politics, at least not on public display. I have been observing the various media & politicos transmitting to the great Aussie public the goings ons of a certain slimy ex union man who’s old union might be one for health, but is now deeply traumatised with shock, dismay & a sickly sense of betrayal of their hard working members hard earned dollars. Made even worse of course by a Prime Minister intent to

@BigDon62 I can hardly believe that Rudd will be the only one returned in Queensland. You’re right Don and I concur that I felt the same … but on reflection, with those troublesome independents, Abbott would have inherited a total unmanageable wreck. Had to laugh today about the High Court’s decision on the Malaysian deal. Labor just doesn’t do it’s homework and go off half cocked without thinking things through. Even a broken clock is right twice a day LOL

@OmegaRage ► Now that would be telling. ☺

@BrounClan {4} As by her own hand Gillard has managed to virtually guarantee many, many years of political exile for her party. I have a bottle of Moet chilling in my fridge waiting for me & others upon Abbott’s ascendency to The Lodge.

@BrounClan {3} She said words to effect that it was serendipitous that Abbott lost his chance as it would mean after a period of corrupt, incompetent Gillard rule he would have a far more secure & long lasting mandate, I must admit to feeling upset at her comments but she has proved to be correct & then some !

@BrounClan {2} Can’t wait to see that splashed across the media & one for the archives to be sure. Apart from Crean that Smudger Smith from The West might be a good bet to take over the smoking ruin that is today’s Labour Party. I remember a caller to a Sydney talk back radio station soon after Gillard did her deals with the Independents & Greens.

@BrounClan {1} You have made my day Jan, thought you were MIA down Mexico way. As an ALP man I kind of like Simon Crean & with the latest dramas with this Gillard woman we can see she is starting to crack under the pressure we are putting upon her as it was a serious lack of judgment, political & otherwise to attempt Labour heavy tactics with the likes of News Ltd. heavy’s. The pressure as we know will stay relentless until she is reduced to Hawke like tears if necessary.

Man! How many of these do you have?

  8. BrounClan on January 24th, 2012 5:42 pm

Wow babyface Simon Crean. Just how old was he in this clip? Like you say Don, he has the runs on the board going back to Hawke/Keating era. I wouldn’t mind betting he is the only safe pair of hands to say mea culpa for all the Labor errors, ditching the carbon tax and going to the next election against Abbott.

    {1 of 7 Video Description} Moving to the political players : -

Sen. Jim McKernan, made announcement of the vote 56/51 to Keating as The Labor Caucus’ returning officer.

John Kerin, was looking rather sheepish.

Andrew Theophanous, what can I say about Andy except a tragedy of Greek proportions, the fellow had a little bother in courts of justice, but was cleared in the end.

{2 of 7 Video Description} Rio Ros Kelly, she of The “Sports Rorts” affair & whiteboard fame. Agenda 21 was signed by her at the Rio earth summit in 1992 & ratified by The Howard Government in 1997, much to their shame in my book.

The kid from The ‘Gong, Stephen Martin. (Later Speaker of The H of R)

Old Labour man Sen. Stephen Loosley, still pops up around the traps sometimes.

    Neal Blewett, enough said.

  11. BigDon62 on January 24th, 2012 7:25 pm

{3 of 7 Video Description} Leo McLeay (Speaker) “Staff at the gymnasium had warned Mr. McLeay that he was too heavy for the collapsible bicycle.” Got $65,000 in compo from The Aussie taxpayer in 1990 for his troubles.

Sen. Nick Bolkus, always though Nick looked like a Greek God, funny how ALP propaganda can wash one’s brain a little too much at times, I have sought treatment & am cured of such ungodly thoughts these days.

Another old Labour bloke, DPM Brian Howe.

  12. BigDon62 on January 24th, 2012 8:05 pm

{4 of 7 Video Description} John Dawkins, I would deed poll my name if it were Dawkins, so easy to think of him as a Dork of course.

Although not seen here my favorite ALP man of the times was the late Sen. John Button, I have some golden video of him spinning his yarns in The Senate, had a revisit the other day to the footage, the chap was a master at his craft & a great loss to Old Labour.

  13. BigDon62 on January 24th, 2012 8:28 pm

{5 of 7 Video Description} Also not seen here was Simon Crean, the only Labour minister to have served in both the Hawke/Keating & Rudd/Gillard Governments.

Hawke’s seat of Wills went to an Independent Phil Cleary in the by-election of 1992.

  14. BigDon62 on January 24th, 2012 8:35 pm

{6 of 7 Video Description} Thought the Laurie Oakes final words were very poignant, Keating was facing a “super human job” Labour has been left in a “smoking ruin” Didn’t think he could do it, but if anyone could Keating could, he is a brilliant politician, as mentioned earlier Mr. Oakes seemed to be having a 1/- each way on the matter.

  15. BigDon62 on January 24th, 2012 9:19 pm

{7 of 7 Video Description} Finally it is a sad fact for the once great ALP that Hawke & Rudd share something in common that no other ALP PM in history share, they are the only two sitting Labour Prime Ministers to be knifed while in that office, only time will tell if the disgraced Julia Gillard will make it a trifecta.
